Mysore Ashtanga Series with Mary Flinn
Date: January 8 – 12 AND January 15, 17– 19 *no practice on the full moon
Time: 6:30 – 8:30 AM

*special beginner class on Mondays January 8 and January 15 from 6:30 – 7:15 AM
$25 per class
$100 for 5 classes
$135 for both weeks
Ashtanga Yoga is a set sequence of postures with a specific gaze and breathing system. The Mysore style is the way that it is taught in the city of Mysore. Each person memorized the sequence and works at their own pace. A great practice for a beginner or seasoned student who wants to commit to a daily practice. Beginners can start any morning but Monday at 6:30 is best.

Special Workshops with Mary Flinn
Fundamentals of Ashtanga, How the practice connects to the earliest texts the Vedas;Breath, Bandhas and Gaze
Date: Saturday, January 13 Time: 1:00 - 3:00 PM
Cost: $40 or $100 for all three workshops

Traditional Led Primary Series: The primary series is a specific movement and sequence where all movements have a specific breath and count. When focusing on this one applies the practice of Pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses) in order to quiet the mind.

Time: 4:00 - 6:00 PM
Cost: $40 or $100 for all three workshops

Restorative Yoga meets Shamanism: find your power animal after a very relaxing restorative class allowing your mind and body to be at ease and receptive.
Date: Saturday, January 20
Time: 11:00-1:00 PM
Cost: $40 or $100 for all three workshops

Mary Flinn is an Artist and Yoga teacher. MFA; RYT 500E; Ayurveda Consultant. She has been teaching Yoga for over 20 years, and has directed and co-directed several yoga centers in NYC and Philadelphia PA including Satya Yoga in Williamsburg NYC and Mount Airy Yoga in Philadelphia. She has been blessed by the Late Shri K. Pattabhi Jois and his Grandson Sharath Rangaswami to teach the first and second series of Ashtanga Yoga. Authorized Level 1 in 2007 and Level 2 in 2010. She has studied Yoga philosophy and Pranayama with Dr. Shankaranarayan Jois in Mysore India as well as the teachers at Ananda Ashram in upstate NY for many years. Mary has taught internationally in Costa Rica, Canada, Thailand and was a guest teacher in Japans’ ‘Tokyo Yoga conference’ in 2007. She co-directed Brooklyns’ ‘Energy Center’ Teacher Training programs in 2004 and 2005,and also directed the training program at Satya Yoga in Brooklyn NY in 2006. Mary is an Ayurveda Consultant certified by the ‘Vedic Institute of Ayurvedic Studies’, and a continual student of Yoga and Ayurveda and Life.
