All Levels Yoga

For beginners and for those who have been practicing for years! We gather in 'come-unity' to use meditation, pranayama (breathing technique), asana (yoga poses), and PLAY to build strength, awaken the senses and further intertwine the mind-body-spirit connection.

Beginner's Yoga

The beginner class is for those who have either never tried yoga or are just new and looking to further their practice. Students are introduced to basic postures with a strong focus on creating accessibility. With a beginner mindset, students are encouraged to grow their curiosity about their body and mind. Students are guided into poses with demonstrations and optional variations on any poses as needed. Practice includes increased mindfulness, gentle breath work, introduction of basic concepts and vocabulary, discovering strength, exploring flexibility and meditation.

Beginner Flow/Level 1

This class offers the new or intermediate yogi a chance to explore their own style while challenging their comfort zone. Delving into breathwork and meditation, the class will encapsulate an elemental and Ayurvedic balance.

Fundamentals/Level 1

Be mindful...  Asana (yoga postures) and pre-asana taught at a slower pace will help you find the subtle movements and core muscles essential to healthy posture and easeful living.  For beginners as well as those students seeking a deeper level of awareness in their yoga practice.

Level 1

Find balance... A wider variety of asana (including foundational standing postures) taught with an emphasis on healthy alignment will help you build strength, release tension, and find your own balance between effort and surrender. For beginners, advanced beginners, and students of any level wishing to develop a strong foundation for personal practice.

Level 1/2

Find ease and steadiness...For the more experienced students who have the understanding of the fundamentals and alignment.  Classic yoga postures may include backbends, forward folds, inversions (headstand, shoulder stand, handstand), as well as a variety of standing and seated postures.  This will be an opportunity to refine and add depth to your practice.

Level 2

For students who already have an understanding of basic anatomy and have practiced foundational Yoga postures. Students will be guided in backbends, forward folds, and inversions. Poses are sustained for a lengthened time with deliberate focus and attention to organization. Pranayama (breath work) is explored.

Forrest-inspired Yoga

Forrest Yoga Inspired classes weave breath, awareness, and subtle feeling into each pose, to support students to work exactly where they are in the moment. These classes are inviting, powerful, and challenging for all levels. Kelly creates a unique experience for each student by breaking down the breath cues and anatomical patterns of each pose, while offering personalized modifications and opportunities for subtle awareness. The Forrest style focuses on a dynamic breath formula and nurturing hands-on assists so students can open more fully to unlock new potential. Students are encouraged to feel connected to their bodies and to explore the beautiful balance between self-challenge and self-compassion.

Gentle Vinyasa

In this slower version of Vinyasa, we practice a series of classic poses in a continuous flow, linking our movement and breath to achieve balance in the mind and body. Classes include a combination of poses, music, mantra, breathing exercises or pranayama, and mudras or hand gestures, all designed to help every student find peace from the inside out.

Intermediate Yoga

Knowledge of the basic postures is helpful but not required. This class is for those wanting to play with more challenging postures. Strength, stability, and focus will be challenged! May introduce full backbends and inversions. Modifications will be provided to meet the students’ needs.

Iyengar Level 1

Build strength, length, stability and confidence. Become acquainted with the depth and breadth of Iyengar yoga with a practice of poses fundamental to the method, including standing postures, forward extensions, backward extensions, lateral extensions, and inversions. We'll practice poses within the Sarvangasana (shoulderstand) family, a pose which is central to the practice of Iyengar Yoga. This class is appropriate for beginners or those new to Iyengar Yoga.

Iyengar Level 2

Bravely dive in to more intermediate yoga postures! Sirsasana (headstand) is practiced along with Sarvangasana (shoulderstand) variations. Plus we'll focus more on deeper twists and more advanced backward extensions. Level 1 poses are practiced more deeply and with more refinement. This class is appropriate for students experienced in Iyengar Yoga and those with a yoga background.

Mindfulness and Meditation

In this donation-based class, students will co-create a space to practice different tools for mindfulness and awareness through meditation and breath. All-levels are encouraged to attend! This is a lifelong practice, and there is something new to learn and feel each time you sit (or lie down) for meditation!

Vinyasa Flow for All Levels

Soar....The word "vinyasa" means to link together in a special way. In our all levels class, we will explore a breath-filled dance of postures intended to stretch, strengthen, empower and release all areas of the body and mind. The class structure builds more difficult postures in stages, so everyone is welcome to come and explore their edge without need to accomplish "full poses." Come! Ride the breath with us!

Restorative Yoga

Release....Whether you have sore muscles from an intense workout or just need a break from a busy week, come to this class and release the tension. You don't have to be flexible to relax! Rooted in the principles of alignment and restoration, this class offers a gentle stretch as well as peace of mind.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga nidra is a state of dynamic sleep facilitated by a systematic method of inducing complete physical, mental, and emotional relaxation through guided meditation. Nidra helps the practitioner to move away from a state of fight or flight (sympathetic nervous system activation), which many of us live in, to a state of relaxation and healing (parasympathetic nervous system activation,) restoring balance and equilibrium to the body. During nidra, the practitioner is empowered to guide his or her own journey, connecting to the inner source of wisdom and healing through all layers of being. Research has shown a regular yoga nidra practice is an effective tool for preventing and reversing symptoms of cardiovascular disease, insomnia, stress related illness, and chronic pain.

In this hour class we'll spend the first half in yin poses, designed to stretch the body and quiet the mind. The second half will be spent in Yoga Nidra, the deep guided relaxation known as conscious sleep. Taken together these two practices deliver a profound opportunity to relax fully, reaping powerful healing benefits.

Yin Yoga

Reflect. The practice of Yin yoga allows us to go deeper in our practice in mind, body, and spirit. Yin involves passive stretching to soften and relax into seated postures. Each pose is held for 3-5 minutes. Yin poses increase flexibility by targeting fascia and connective tissue and encourages introspection and meditation. Together we will explore stillness and depth and unmask illusions of true self. This practice is suitable for all yogis from beginners to advanced.
