Bare feet provide a stable foundation for standing postures. Wear flexible clothing in which you can move comfortably. To maximize your learning experience, wear clothes (such as shorts or leggings) that show off your knees and ankles. Mats and props are provided for your convenience. Changing room space is limited so please come dressed for your yoga class.

Fundamentals/Level 1

Be mindful...  Asana (yoga postures) and pre-asana taught at a slower pace will help you find the subtle movements and core muscles essential to healthy posture and easeful living.  For beginners as well as those students seeking a deeper level of awareness in their yoga practice.

Level 1

Find balance... A wider variety of asana (including foundational standing postures) taught with an emphasis on healthy alignment will help you build strength, release tension, and find your own balance between effort and surrender. For beginners, advanced beginners, and students of any level wishing to develop a strong foundation for personal practice.

Level 1/2

Find ease and steadiness...For the more experienced students who have the understanding of the fundamentals and alignment.  Classic yoga postures may include backbends, forward folds, inversions (headstand, shoulder stand, handstand), as well as a variety of standing and seated postures.  This will be an opportunity to refine and add depth to your practice.

Level 2/3

For students with a solid foundation in the basics and are wanting to work and play more deeply with their yoga practice. Strength, stability, and focus will be challenged. Class may introduce full backbends and inversions.

Vinyasa Flow for All Levels

Soar....The word "vinyasa" means to link together in a special way. In our all levels class, we will explore a breath-filled dance of postures intended to stretch, strengthen, empower and release all areas of the body and mind. The class structure builds more difficult postures in stages, so everyone is welcome to come and explore their edge without need to accomplish "full poses." Come! Ride the breath with us!

Restorative Yoga

Release....Whether you have sore muscles from an intense workout or just need a break from a busy week, come to this class and release the tension. You don't have to be flexible to relax! Rooted in the principles of alignment and restoration, this class offers a gentle stretch as well as peace of mind.

Gentle and Restorative Yoga with Massage

This class is a sweet blend of gentle, meditative movement with breath, yin postures (passive stretches), and restorative postures (fully supported, deeply relaxing postures). During the yin and restorative postures, students receive (only if desired) therapeutic massage from Kira who is also a licensed massage therapist.

Gentle Yoga Flow

Begin the week by embracing your mind, body and spirit. Using an All Levels approach in this hour-long class, we delve into breathwork, meditation, and asana aiming to tenderly awaken and reconnect our souls with our senses.

All Levels Yoga

Allow SUNday to brighten your SHINE..! In this hour and a half long class we gather in 'come-unity' to use meditation, pranayama (breathing technique), asana (yoga poses), and PLAY to build strength, awaken the senses and further intertwine the mind-body-spirit connection.

Gentle Yoga

Ground yourself....this class takes a slowed down, therapuetic approach to a variety of both active and restorative yoga poses. We focus on aligning the body and pranayama for optimal health. This class is great for beginners, those that have been away from yoga for a while, or those who simply want to get into the more subtle aspects of their practice.

Intermediate Yoga

Knowledge of the basic postures is helpful but not required. This class is for those wanting to play with more challenging postures. Strength, stability, and focus will be challenged! May introduce full backbends and inversions. Modifications will be provided to meet the students’ needs.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga nidra is a state of dynamic sleep facilitated by a systematic method of inducing complete physical, mental, and emotional relaxation through guided meditation. Nidra helps the practitioner to move away from a state of fight or flight (sympathetic nervous system activation), which many of us live in, to a state of relaxation and healing (parasympathetic nervous system activation,) restoring balance and equilibrium to the body. During nidra, the practitioner is empowered to guide his or her own journey, connecting to the inner source of wisdom and healing through all layers of being. Research has shown a regular yoga nidra practice is an effective tool for preventing and reversing symptoms of cardiovascular disease, insomnia, stress related illness, and chronic pain.

Yin/Nidra

In this hour class we'll spend the first half in yin poses, designed to stretch the body and quiet the mind. The second half will be spent in Yoga Nidra, the deep guided relaxation known as conscious sleep. Taken together these two practices deliver a profound opportunity to relax fully, reaping powerful healing benefits.

Morning Hatha Flow

This class offers breath centered movement with a balance of flow and alignment based static postures. It is designed for all levels and anyone looking for a deeply settling and invigorating way to start a good day.

Therapeutic Yoga

This class offers yogic applications to support a healthy nervous system, release holding patterns in the musculoskeletal system stemming from injuries or trauma and organize the joints to obtain maximum range of motion, stability and flexibility. Appropriate for all practitioners, this practice offers numerous modifications to support those with mobility, stability, and/or health challenges. Body and breath awareness, Somatic movement, Yoga Nidra, gentle asana and other supportive practices will be offered. Discover the tools that support your individual journey of living well.

Yin Yoga

Reflect. The practice of Yin yoga allows us to go deeper in our practice in mind, body, and spirit. Yin involves passive stretching to soften and relax into seated postures. Each pose is held for 3-5 minutes. Yin poses increase flexibility by targeting fascia and connective tissue and encourages introspection and meditation. Together we will explore stillness and depth and unmask illusions of true self. This practice is suitable for all yogis from beginners to advanced.
